Once I was done competing at the 2023 Glock Annual Challenge, I was given the chance to test a new red dot before I left. The red dot was from C&H Precision and was their COMP model. I removed the red dot off my G34MOS that I used all weekend and put this one on, and after only a few shots I really liked it. There were many great and unique features I really liked about this red dot prior to testing it, and afterwards I found even more things that I liked about it.
Some of the features I really like about this C&H red dot is the wider field of view, which makes it a lot easier and faster to move from target to target. The glass they use for the lenses is a lot clearer than other red dots I have used before, which makes the dot show up a lot clearer on more difficult to see targets. Another feature I liked that is common on other red dots is the ability to adjust the brightness of the dot. On some red dots I have used the dot doesn't keep a circular shape when you change the brightness, it distorts to a point that I have to adjust my aiming point from the center of the dot. But with the C&H Comp you can adjust the brightness up and down and the dot will keep a nice dot shape for a consistent aiming point, which is a real advantage.
C&H also makes their own slide plates specifically for their red dots. Their slide plates work better than others because they have 2 T-nuts that go underneath the plate which creates a 3rd and 4th mounting point for the red dot. With this system it makes the red dot very sturdy and secure.
Overall, I have really enjoyed testing the C&H Precision Comp red dot and highly recommend it. I am excited to use it in an actual action or steel type event where a wider field of view is important to being able to set up the next shot sooner as well as see the targets more clearly.
